Hana Kubátová is Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the Ceuntral European University (Budapest) and Assistant Professor at the Institute of Political Science at the Facutly of Social sciences, Charles University. She received her PhD in modern history from Charles University and an MA in nationalism studies from Central European University. Her research interests include anti-Semitism, nationalism and the state-minority relation in post-war Europe. She is the recipient of various awards and the author of studies in English, German, Slovak, Czech and Hungarian. Her book on Jews in Czech and Slovak Imagination is under contract with Brill (written with Jan Láníček), and her manuscript on Jews in wartime in Slovakia is under exclusive consideration with Indiana University Press.

​She has also been the recepient of many fellowships and grants. These include a postdoctoral GAČR, a Marie Curie Fellowship, a Felix Posen Fellowship from the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Anti-Semitism, an Israel Government Scholarship, and a Gisela Fleischmann Scholarship from the Milan Šimečka Foundation. She was a CAHS Fellow at the USHMM (2008 and 2009). She has also recently edited an issue on Jews and Gentiles with Dr Láníček published by Holocaust Studies (Taylor & Francis).
